Responsibilities and tasks:
Assesses projects requested by interlocutors or proposed by Wathab Dpt., including:
Plan and organize visits on site, directly or through consultants
Interview authorities, local associations and beneficiaries independently
Analyze the collected information, highlight problems, propose interventions through hydraulic and civil engineering design and calculations
Write assessment reports.
Elaborate precise background information, bills of quantity, drawings, time schedule, work specification, cost estimates.
Follow up projects' spending and payments according to contracts' awarded amounts
Checks quantities of works implemented and prepares measurements and payments sheets.
Monitors and follows up works, insuring conformity to contract, quality and respect of schedule.
Manages relevant paperwork (external correspondence, written reporting, internal procedures...)
Develops and maintains contacts with interlocutors (Water and Sewage boards, Health sector, local authorities)
Minimum required knowledge & experience:
University degree in Engineering, preferably hydraulic or civil
4 years work experience in a similar field
Fluent in written and spoken English
Good computer skills, including spreadsheets
Very good analytical and leadership skills
