Health Field Officer

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC has a permanent mandate under international law to take impartial action for prisoners, the wounded and sick, and civilians affected by conflict. The ICRC sub-delegation is looking to recruit a: Health Field Officer Minimum profile:   Medical Professional or Registered Nurse At least 3 - 5 years work experience in the medical or nursing field Good written and spoken English Good computer skills Good analytical skills Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment (North Lebanon)   He/she: Provides the emergency response for Weapon Wounded (WW) patients, contributes to the planning, conducts assessment visits, collates and analyzes information, monitors patients admitted in AoR and refers the Weapon Wounded based on the referral system. Contributes to the running of Primary Health Care (PHC) program and activities in the AoR, participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the PHC activities. Provides support to ICRC Tripoli Hospital Project (WTTC) and Physical Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Reports all instances of Health Care in Danger (HCiD) to the health Delegate and Sub-Delegation management, completes the HCiD database and implements the dissemination session in HCiD. Manages Medical Assistance in the AoR, completes the logistical tasks required, proposes and organizes medical assistance responses. Maintains contacts with authorities at the municipal level, local Red Cross Branches, population, suppliers, etc. initially under the supervision of the Health Delegate. Is in charge of related office activities such as drafting reports, writing minutes of meeting, keeping files up-to-date and executing the Admin/finance work.
