Nurse Field Officer

Responsibilities and tasks: Possesses awareness of the overall health situation, with focus on Syrian refugees. Assists the ICRC team in running field activities for specific sectors. Contributes to the implementation and running of specific projects / programmes defined by the delegation towards the Syrian War Wounded. Coordinates with the other departments within the delegation and with humanitarian actors for issue related the Syrian wounded inLebanon. Assists the Health Delegate in following up the needs of the Syrian refugees, mainly the wounded. Follows up on all Syrian wounded from the entry point intoLebanon, hospitalisation up to the post or place. Registers the patient and follows up on their medical treatment inside the hospital. Coordinates with the north team and other contact persons for transfer of patients to the north when needed. Receives phone calls from the doctors in charge of the triage informing them about the wounded arrival, their conditions, and advising where to refer patient. Receives phone calls from the Hospital and follows up on : admission, bills, discharge, transport via the Lebanese Red Cross. Coordinates by phone and physically with the doctors treating the war wounded in all the contracted hospitals about the treatment plan. Conducts Home visits with other NGO's and the triage doctor to vulnerable wounded. Refers wounded for specific needs to other NGO'S. Supports the Health Coordinator and/or Health Delegate in other activities related to the operation of the Health Department.
