Pharmacist/Med Log Assistant
The Pharmacist provides Medical Logistics support to ICRC programmes in Lebanon in accordance with ICRC logistics standards and in compliance with Lebanese standard drug protocols. As the Responsible Person (registered pharmacist) is in charge of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and legal activities linked to health care goods regulation and as a pharmacist provides support to health in regards to hospital activities.
Main responsibilities:
Provides medical logistics support to ICRC Lebanon operations in accordance with ICRC logistics standards and in respect to Lebanon standard drug protocols.
Follows-up of the medical care goods distribution and their validation.
Performs local purchase when necessary in accordance with ICRC purchasing policy
Performs medical data collection, entry, analysis and reporting in collaboration with Health coordinator (Quality control).
Provides medical logistics support to ICRC Lebanon operations in accordance with ICRC logistics standards and in respect to Lebanon standard drug protocols.
Follows-up of the medical care goods distribution and their validation.
Follows-up any quality problems
Ensures all administrative filing of his/her unit (field procurement files, purchase orders files, suppliers files, products files)
Issues RO (Requisition Order) according to ICRC procedures
Provides advice to health staff and logisticians concerning medical logistics issues
Conduct monthly inventories, and yearly physical inventory to ICRC specifications.
Ensures proper storing of items according to pharmaceutical and ICRC requirements, especially regarding cold chain items and controlled drugs
Works regularly at the medical warehouse
Ensures that cold chain equipments are working properly and that daily monitoring is in place
Ensures FIFO, and FEFO stock rotation
Monitors short expiry dates.
Ensuring that storage and transport of medical goods complies with pharmaceutical laws and regulations in the country
Prioritizes the warehouse and dispatch daily work.
Checks that the product corresponds with the Quality Certificates provided by the supplier
Ensures that quality certificates are available and maintain an efficient filing system
Ensures the safe disposal of expired/ damaged medical items under regulation and accordance to Ministry of Health.
Ensures that batch tracing is possible
Organizes return or exchange of rejected goods
Minimum required knowledge & experience:
Pharmacist qualification (registered and authorized for practicing in Lebanon).
Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and laws regarding drugs and material in Lebanon
Good knowledge in medical care goods management
Knowledge in logistics (warehousing, stock management, cold chain…)
Able to work independently
Good command of written and spoken English /Arabic
Excellent computer skills
Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability
