Your main responsibilities
The PRP Field Officer contributes to implementing Physical Rehabilitation activities and agenda under the supervision of the PRP manager, the PRP assistant and the ICRC health delegate. S/he organizes and coordinates with the partner the Physical rehabilitation services provision for the persons with physical impairment or disabilities prosthetic, orthotics, mobility aids and physiotherapy in the north region of Lebanon. S/he is a full member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation which ensures patient centered care and works closely with the ICRC health team. S/he manages and updates patient files and treatment records, coordinates with the different academic institutions and follows up various social inclusion activities.
Functional responsibilities
Promotes best practice and contributes to implement ICRC and international standards with the respective partners.
Participates and contributes in the multidisciplinary consultations for PRP services user’s assessments and treatment prescriptions with the national clinicians and/or associations.
Ensures timely provision of physical rehabilitation services and guarantees the continuum of care by referring individuals in needs of further rehabilitation or social inclusion activities.
Participates in developing professional relationships with external stakeholders, advocates health promotion activities.
Contributes to the necessary internal reporting (sub-delegation and PRP) and to the monthly statistics, and ad hoc Minutes of Meetings.
Monitors services user’s progresses and follow up in their communities.
Updates patient lists, files and treatment records.
Education required
Bachelor or University degree in Physiotherapy, or in Ortho-Prosthetic field
Relevant additional training in physical rehabilitation field
Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, French is an asset
Professional Experience Required
Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience
Excellent computer and analytical skills
Experience with International NGOs, the international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and or/ multicultural are strong assets.
