Physiotherapist

The Weapon Traumatology Centre (WTTC) is a training center for weapon-wounded surgery procedures set up in September 2014 by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Dar Al Chifae and Dar Al Zahra hospitals in Tripoli, North Lebanon, in agreement with the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The center endeavors to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical treatment of weapon wounded, while at the same time ensuring the transfer of know-how to surgeons and other medical personnel by an international team of health professionals from the ICRC. ICRC is recruiting a “Physiotherapist” for the WTTC. Job Purpose Under the direct supervision of the Physiotherapy Team Leader, the physiotherapist is one of  the first contacts to ICRC patients, she/he has to preserves ICRC standards  at all times and makes sure she/he reflects a good image of the ICRC.   Job tasks and responsibilities: Communicates clearly and collaborates closely within a multidisciplinary team Completes patient files and patient statistics Provides a continuum of high level physiotherapy care from initial patient admission,  through surgery and rehabilitation, to discharge (often to challenging home environments) Identifies physiotherapy treatment priorities and objectives, develops appropriate treatment plans Implements evidence based physiotherapy techniques and measures treatment outcomes Recognizes the problems and complications during the treatment and informs relevant medical colleagues accordingly Educates patients and their caretakers on the post-discharge physiotherapy plan  and the use of mobility aids / equipment   Profile University Degree or professional diploma in Physiotherapy Registered Physiotherapist 3- 5 years clinical experience post-graduation Good knowledge of written and spoken English, French also an asset. Good computer skills Good teamwork and communication skills
