Restoring Family Links Field Officer (Junior) - Beirut

General Description:

The restoring family links officer collects tracing requests for missing persons in Syria and keeps regular contacts with families residing in Lebanon to provide or collect additional information.

Objective and Tasks:

Objective 1:Management and treatment of restoring family links cases

  • Collect allegations of arrest and tracing requests within BEY area of responsibility in a timely manner.
  • refers beneficiaries of RFL services to other ICRC departments or to external stakeholders when appropriate
  • maintain contact at least once every 12 months with the enquirers in their area of responsibility  
  • Carry out field visits to trace enquirers with whom the ICRC has lost contact and update their files with the needed information
  • Ensure timely follow up, reporting on and filing of cases referred by restoring family links field officer 2 .
  • Contributes to internal reporting whenever required

 

Additional Duties:

  • Provide support to the restoring family links field officer accompaniment project field officer and to the Sub delegations teams when needed (family compositions collection and review, AFN calls, collection of cases when needed
  • Any other tasks that might be required.

  • Understands the roles of the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

  • Develops and maintains a pleasant and conducive working environment with colleagues and line managers.
  • Performs all duties with the highest level of confidentiality in the interest of the employees and the ICRC.
  • May be asked to perform tasks not covered in this job description and to provide support to other departments when necessary.

 

Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Years of experience required: Up to 1 year of experience.

Level of education: Bachelor’s Degree,

Field of education: Social Sciences

Languages: Arabic and English, French is a plus.

Job Details:

  • Job Location : Beirut, Lebanon.
  • Working Schedule: Monday till Friday, from 8 Am till 5 Pm.
  • Contract Type: Determined Period, 1 Year (Renewable).
  • Salary Package : 1570-2400 USD USD/Month (As per ICRC salary scale, salary setting processes will determine fair setting in coherence with the qualifications of the applicant and the requirements of the job).
