Purpose:
The Restoring Family Links (RFL) Officer supports the implementation and monitoring of ICRC restoring family links (RFL) activities set by the Syria delegation for the Syria Protection Support (SPS) in Beirut.
- Place of employment: based in Beirut in support of the Damascus delegation.
- One-year contract renewable.
Minimum required knowledge & qualification:
• Bachelor Degree.
• Very good command of Arabic and English. French is an asset.
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Responsibility and autonomy, ability to set priorities.
• Good planning, organization and analytical skills..
• Good communication skills.
• Good capacity to implement procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
Professional Experience required:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar field.
Responsibilities:
Assists the line manager in carrying out RFL activities relevant to the file.
Performs internal and external follow-up of individual cases under the supervision of the line manager (if applicable).
Receives visitors and ensures that visits are appropriately followed up.
Undertakes filing and archiving tasks in line with standard procedures.
Translates or interprets upon request.
Contributes to reporting and the collection of statistical data.
Carries out administrative tasks relating to the follow-up of RFL activities.
Internally, interacts with colleagues on matters relating to RFL.
Externally, and if required, interacts with a network of contacts at the local level, such as authorities and civilians, under the supervision of the line manager and subject to a staff risk management requirement.
In charge of small- or medium-scale RFL activities.
May have some financial responsibilities.
