Social Media Officer

  Knowledge and experience :   Excellent written communication skills, both in English and Arabic Demonstrated ability to write for various audiences Proven track record of successful internet / blogging experience a must Independent, self motivated, dynamic and able to work in a team Capacity to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Excellent computer skills (incl. Photoshop and other photo editors) Prior experience in journalism or marketing preferred Experience of other multimedia tools an asset Interest for humanitarian work Min. 3-year experience in digital communication   General duties and responsibilities: Produce innovative content for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube notably) Propose creative ideas and identify opportunities to increase the organization's presence and visibility on social media Identify key social media influencers and develop the social media network of the organization Monitor and analyse social media trends, assess their impact on the organization's activities and reputation, and propose action accordingly Identify best practices and tools to help raise awareness about humanitarian issues of concern to the organization Assist the head of the communication department in the development of a social media strategy, and implement it Provide social media guidance and training to colleagues whenever needed Prepare regular reports and statistics on the organization’s social media activities and their impact Stay on top of social media trends and technologies
