The ICRC delegation in Lebanon opens the position of

Wathab Engineer- Data collector Prisons Baseline Survey - 3 Months contract 

Based in “Beirut”

3 days per week  

Responsibilities:

• In the frame of the baseline survey, the Data Collector visits prisons and carries out data collection according to tools and applications specifically developed by ICRC for that purpose. The data collection covers 3 main fields: architecture, mechanical-electrical-plumbing (MEP) and social. The Data Collector – wathab Engineering is in charge of collecting data’s for the architectural and MEP parts of the survey, as well as encoding the architectural information from prison maps into the database in advance of each survey.
• The Data Collector carries out data collection in the prisons assigned by the Water and Habitat delegate, according to the schedule developed and communicated to him.
• The Data Collector is responsible of the accuracy of the data collected during the surveys. He applies the protocols developed by ICRC and ensures that his duties are conducted as per guidelines communicated during the preparatory trainings and sessions.
• Working by pairs of 2, he ensures a good collaboration and coordination with his teammate. For the sake of constant improvement, the Data Collector proactively reports issues or comments from ISF staff and/or inmates regarding ICRC tools and/or protocols.
• The data collector abides by all procedures advised by ISF and ICRC staff during prison visits.

Certifications/Education Required:

• BA degree in Engineering.
• Excellent command of Arabic and English.
• Computer literate, tablets are the main the tool for data collection.
• Excellent communication skills.

Professional Experience Required:

• 0-2 years’ experience, fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
• NGO experience is an asset.
• Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) is a plus.
