Learning through the Raspberry PI Project Overview: It is a pilot e-learning programme, which will be delivered to students ages 10 - 18 during a six-week summer camp for youth at three locations in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.  Students will be grouped by age such that each section contains students within 3 years of each other.  Each day will consist of two sessions with students attending either the morning or afternoon session. Pi For Learning represents an e-learning programme delivered both offline and via small computer labs (1 - 10 work stations) with three learning tracks dedicated to students outcomes and one track focused on educator and Field Partner training and support.  The student tracks will focus on basicnumeracy utilizing KA Lite, an offline curriculum platform that allows educators to curate Khan Academy curriculum content for offline delivery.  It is important to note that the system will be optimized for offline delivery so that it can function as a curriculum content and continuing education delivery tool without the need for continuous internet connectivity.  Students will also receive an intensive introduction to computer science and coding utilizing Scratch, a visual programming teaching tool for kids developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at MIT.   Required posts:  PI Coach - 4 positions available The Pi Coach is: A technology student who has completed a min of 2 years of university studies Available full time in the summer (July 1 to 30 September) specially for the month of August Creative and interested in innovative projects   Good team worker with excellent social skills Systematic in fulfilling the job and reporting on a daily basis Capable of working with adults and children Interested in gaining skills to become proficient at the tasks and applications that have to be completed with the teachers Enjoys sharing knowledge especially with the underserved Tasks:   Setup and install the Raspberry Pi Lab at the partner organizations Supports teachers in running and troubleshooting the Pi labs on a daily basis for their lessons Create small educational games and animations using Scratch Support teachers using KA Lite software Provide daily reports using real time monitoring tools Report to the lead coach
