Human Resources Assistant

This position is based in the Zone office in Beirut, assisting the HR coordinator in supporting the whole team in MENA Zone. The HR assistant handles all administrative duties concerning the personnel related activities and assists the HR Coordinator in all related matters whenever needed. Duties & Responsibilities: 1-Participate in the formulation of Personnel and payroll policies and procedures and ensure their proper implementation in order to satisfy the organizational needs and those of the employees 2- Follow up on the implementation of legal procedures for new and existing employees and ensure that all NSSF, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Labour declarations are done on time, in order to ensure that internal practices are in compliance with the governmental rules 3-Follow up on personnel changes including terminations, resignations, transfers and demotions 4- Maintain a proper filing system and update employee files with any occurring changes in status, education, training, certificate, warning, etc 5- Gather and validate the payroll data and work effectively with the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and allowances 6- Assist the HR Coordinator in developing C&B related reports and activities 7-Prepare employee needed certificates related to salaries, visas, recommendation letters, etc and support them in any Compensation & Benefits related matter 8-Provide support to the HR Coordinator in other related issues as requested   Duties applicable to all staff: 1- Actively work towards the achievement of the Federation Secretariat’s goals 2- Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles 3- Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager Experience: 1- Experience in supporting staff- REQUIRED 2- Experience in working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement - PREFERRED 3- Strong knowledge of Lebanese labor law and NSSF - REQUIRED 4- Experience in payroll software preferably SAP -PREFERRED 5- Knowledge of personnel/C&B practices -REQUIRED 6- Proficiency in Office applications- REQUIRED Knowledge and Skills: 1- Strong communication skills 2- Organization and planning skills 3- Teamwork 4- Ability to work under pressure 5- Flexibility 6- Analytical thinking Competencies: Accountability – Professionalism, Teamwork, communication
