Accountant ( Repost )

The Accountant who will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial reporting and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial spreadsheets, cash flow forecasts, data entry and ensuring the office follows International Medical Corps financial procedures. 

 

This position reports to the Finance Manager and is located in Beirut, Lebanon.

 

Major Duties:

 

Maintain journal entries of wire transfers and receipts;

Enter information into accounting system;

Correspond with vendors as appropriate;

Respond to wire transfer inquiries as appropriate;

Maintain accurate and complete accounting  records;

Distribute and/or generate checks;

Organize and maintain Accounting filing system;

Assure accuracy of supporting documentation and entries for accounts reporting;

Create, review and audit reports;

Oversee system for Accounting documentation transactions;

Resolve any discrepancies or clarification for Accounting records;

Maintain accurate and complete Accounting records and audit information;

Monitor accounts payable system.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years relevant experience, or Master's degree to equivalent with 1-3 years relevant experience;

1-3 years of Accounting experience with international projects;

Experience with accepted accounting procedures desired;

Advanced skills in Excel;

Experience working with INGOs preferred;

Fluency in English required.
