1. BACKGROUND TO THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Yoga Instructor will work as a recreational Activities Trainer – Yoga Instructor Consultant, responsible for conducting Yoga sessions. The consultant will be responsible for planning and executing recreational sessions focused on painting across Lebanon in Akkar Areas. The– Yoga Instructor aims to equip beneficiaries with essential knowledge and techniques in basic Yoga skills, promoting relaxation and well-being through recreational activities.
2. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The purpose of the yoga instructor assignment is to promote physical and emotional well-being for women and girls. Through guided yoga practices, the sessions aim to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and foster a sense of inner peace and empowerment.
3. SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Consultant will assume the role of Recreational Activities Trainer – Yoga Instructor for a project based in Lebanon. The Consultant will fulfil the following tasks:
• The trainer must create comprehensive sessions with number of sessions, activities during the sessions and, objective of each activity.
• The trainer must be able to provide activities relevant to the GBV program and mission.
• The trainer must prepare his courses with sensitivity towards customs of the beneficiaries (not ask anyone to remove their veil, and or touch any participant without their consent)
• The consultant should receive the training on handling GBV disclosure and safe referral before commencing their work.
• Develop Tailored Yoga Sessions: Create a series of yoga sessions designed specifically for women and girls, taking into account their varying abilities, needs, and comfort levels.
• Plan and structure each yoga session to be engaging, focusing on poses and practices that promote relaxation, flexibility, and overall well-being.
• Incorporate guided breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to help participants manage stress, anxiety, and enhance emotional balance.
• Foster a body-positive atmosphere that encourages self-acceptance and appreciation among women and girls of all shapes and sizes
Create a safe and inclusive environment where women and girls feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their bodies.
• Adapt yoga sequences to address specific concerns or conditions that participants may have, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
• Guide participants in connecting with their bodies and emotions, emphasizing the holistic benefits of yoga practice.
• Provide alternative poses and modifications, allowing participants to adjust their practice according to their individual comfort and capability.
• Incorporate a relaxation segment at the end of each session, focusing on guided meditation or deep relaxation to promote stress relief.
• Keep track of participants' progress over time, noting improvements in flexibility, relaxation, and overall well-being.
• Collect feedback from participants on session content, structure, and overall experience, and use this input to refine future sessions.
• Coordinate with the program team to ensure that the yoga sessions align with broader project objectives and participant needs.
• Highlight the importance of self-care and empower women and girls to integrate simple yoga practices into their daily routines.
4. DELIVERABLES DESCRIPTION:
1. Deliver Yoga Sessions to the beneficiary’s group
2. Writing a comprehensive report after the completion of each training cycle. The report template will be provided by the program team. This report should encompass a detailed overview of the training conducted, participants' engagement, key outcomes, and any recommendations for improvement.

4.1. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT DELIVERABLES
The GBV program will coordinate with the consultant ahead of time to set dates suitable for both parties to deliver the training cycle. The consultant will be responsible of his transportation to the locations using his personal car.

To perform this consultancy successfully, an individual must be able to perform each task with or without reasonable accommodation.
• The trainer must have completed a certified course in ‘’Yoga” or any other related field.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

3. Payment
Payments are delivery-based. Any deliverable not meeting the required specifications will have to be reworked and resubmitted at no additional cost.
− The proposed payment schedule for this assignment (total budget) is N/A USD
− Monthly payment, each month’s payment is to be paid on the 20th of the next month.
− International Medical Corps shall pay Consultant per session’s rate. Rate per training session is 60 USD. Session’s length is 1 hour.
− Transportation fees from consultant address to sessions conducted in Akkar using consultant’s personal car are calculated based on the number of kilometers traveled per round trip as per IMC transportation policy matrix. Transportation fees is not provided for sessions delivered in Beirut, Mount Lebanon Areas.
− Minimum sessions per day: 1
− Maximum sessions per day: 4 (for different groups, not the same group. Each group should not receive more than one session per day).
Payments are made upon submission of an invoice, task sheet and progress reports on completed tasks, outlined against planned outputs. Based on the report and satisfactory performance, payments will be certified by the supervisor.
4. TITLE RIGHTS
International Medical Corps shall be entitled to all property rights including but not limited to patents, copyrights and trademarks with regard to material, which bears a direct relation to, or is made in consequence of, the services provided to the organization by the consultant.
5. INSURANCE
Consultants are fully responsible for arranging, at their own expense, such life, health and other forms of insurance covering their period of service on behalf of International Medical Corps as they consider appropriate. Consultants are not eligible to participate in life or health insurance schemes available to International Medical Corps employees
6. TAXATION
International Medical Corps undertake no liability for taxes, duty or other contributions payable by the consultant on payments under this contract.
7. TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
Either party may terminate this contract before the expiry date of the contract by giving notice in writing to the other party.
The period of notice shall be 5 days in case of contract less than 2 months duration and 30 days in the case of contracts for longer periods; provided however that the in the event of termination on the grounds of misconduct or the in the event of termination on the grounds of misconduct or poor performance by the consultant, International Medical Corps shall be entitled to terminate the contract without notice.
In the event of the contract being terminated prior to its due expiry date, the consultant shall be compensated pro rata for no more than the actual amount of work performed to the satisfaction of International Medical Corps.
