Level of Effort:
The consultant, Recreational Activities Trainer – Yoga Instructor, will be responsible for conducting Yoga sessions.
Background:
The Recreational Activities Trainer – Yoga Instructor aims to equip beneficiaries with essential knowledge and techniques in basic Yoga skills, promoting relaxation and well-being through recreational activities.
Purpose:
This scope of work aims to engage the services of a consultant to strategize, travel to, and execute in-person Yoga sessions for the beneficiaries.
Task Description:
The Consultant will assume the role of Recreational Activities Trainer – Yoga Instructor for a project based in Lebanon. The Consultant will fulfill the following tasks:
Develop Tailored Yoga Sessions: Create a series of yoga sessions designed specifically for women and girls, taking into account their varying abilities, needs, and comfort levels.
Plan and structure each yoga session to be engaging, focusing on poses and practices that promote relaxation, flexibility, and overall well-being.
Incorporate guided breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to help participants manage stress, anxiety, and enhance emotional balance.
Foster a body-positive atmosphere that encourages self-acceptance and appreciation among women and girls of all shapes and sizes.
Offer clear and gentle guidance during sessions, ensuring participants understand and can comfortably follow each pose and movement.
Create a safe and inclusive environment where women and girls feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their bodies.
Adapt yoga sequences to address specific concerns or conditions that participants may have, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
Guide participants in connecting with their bodies and emotions, emphasizing the holistic benefits of yoga practice.
Provide alternative poses and modifications, allowing participants to adjust their practice according to their individual comfort and capability.
Incorporate a relaxation segment at the end of each session, focusing on guided meditation or deep relaxation to promote stress relief.
Keep track of participants' progress over time, noting improvements in flexibility, relaxation, and overall well-being.
Collect feedback from participants on session content, structure, and overall experience, and use this input to refine future sessions.
Coordinate with the program team to ensure that the yoga sessions align with broader project objectives and participant needs.
Highlight the importance of self-care and empower women and girls to integrate simple yoga practices into their daily routines.
In addition to the training workshops, the Recreational Activities Trainer is expected to write a comprehensive report after the completion of each training cycle. The report template will be provided by the program team. This report should encompass a detailed overview of the training conducted, participants' engagement, key outcomes, and any recommendations for improvement.
Furthermore, the Recreational Activities Trainer should receive training in handling GBV disclosure and safe referral before commencing their work
Specific Duties:
Conduct Yoga Group sessions in person.
Compliance & Ethics: Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity. Communicates these values to staff and to partners and requires them to adhere to these values.

Deliverables/Due Dates/Payment Schedule:
Deliverable: Person Yoga Sessions
Due Date: Based on the submission of a consultant invoice
Payment: B60 USD/ In-Person Session
Total: TBD on a monthly basis depending on number of sessions conducted
Fixed Price Fee:
Fees per one in person or online session of Yoga is 60 USD
Transportation fees to the activities’ location using consultant’s personal car are calculated based on the number of kilometers traveled per round trip as per IMC transportation policy matrix. Transportation fees is not provided for sessions delivered in Beirut and Mount Lebanon Areas
The fees will be paid based on the submission of a consultant invoice and task sheet
Location of Work: Consultant resides will conduct her /his work in Akkar area and will be responsible for her own transportation. International Medical Corps will compensate based on the number of kilometers traveled per round trip as per IMC transportation policy matrix.
