Background: International Medical Corps has outsourced a 3rd part construction company to make construction works to its supported Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) in Beirut and Mount Lebanon and South areas, to render them accessible for Persons with Disabilities.
IMC Health Department is looking for a Civil/ Architect consultant for a period of 3 months.
Purpose: The engineer will monitor, evaluate, and report on the quality of work being delivered by the construction company to 8 PHCCs (6 in South and 2 in BML) .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessment for the center and draft BOQs
- Review the offers submitted by the vendor and provide technical advice to IMC procurement committee
- Review the specifications submitted by the vendor performing the construction
- Monitor the construction works by conducting at least three visits.Two visits mid-way through the construction works and a third visit after the finalization of the works
- Evaluate and report any deviations from the pre-set BOQs and specifications agreed upon (quality control)
- Reports shall be submitted individually for each PHCC detailing the adequacy of completion of works.
Deliverables:
- Submission of BoQs- within 7 days after the first visit.
- Submission of technical report within 7 days after the follow up visits.
- Submission of Final Report within 7 days after the last visit.
Fixed Price Fee:
A Fixed Fee of 1200 USD will be paid based on completion and International Medical Corps acceptance of deliverables.
Location of Work: Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and South Areas.
