The Field IT Officer is responsible for the supply, the setup, the maintenance of the existing assets, installation of new hardware, and infrastructure network.

The Field IT Officer is responsible for the supply, the setup, the maintenance of the existing assets, installation of new hardware, and infrastructure network.

Assessment, IT Procurement & Setup

In collaboration with the Senior IT officer, the Field IT Officer identifies gaps, proposes solutions, and participates to the procurement of material in communication and computer related fields.

 Under the direct supervision of the Senior IT officer Receives each newly purchased of computer and ensures its standard configuration (network available, printers’ drivers, photo compression software, minimum software, Outlook e-mail configuration).

Sets up base installations on site, trains radio operators when needed.

Field Visits:

Following an action plan, he visits each site and proceeds to the following:

-Update of the network, cleaning of each computer’ systems and hardware, cleaning of each printer, scanner, and maintenance operations on photocopy machines.

-Identifies problems, repairs on site when possible, follows up with professional workshops when necessary.

-Check all Assets in each field site.

Maintenance

In case of identification of a computer problem, tries to solve the problem at distance, using all communication mean available.

When needed, goes on the field or receives the damaged equipment and caries out the repair in his workshop.

Receives damaged computers and other equipment carries out maintenance on hardware and software in timely manner.

Receives damages communication equipment and carries out hardware maintenance in timely manner.

Asset List

Under the direct supervision of the senior IT officer he is responsible to check & update all Filed assets and Report everything to his supervisor.
