Gender Based Violence Case Manager - Bekaa (repost)

Tasks & Responsibilities

·         Promote and introduce the International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs and individuals.

·         Plan and conduct psycho-social support sessions to beneficiaries at the primary health care centers, community centers and outreach field level. PSS sessions will include a pre/post wellbeing measurement, session evaluation, performance evaluation and other M&E tools.

·         Provide age appropriate counseling for vulnerable girls and children while being mindful of how to care for child survivors and working in the best interest of the child.

·         Contribute and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that GBV caseworkers are informed of all relevant and available services.

·         Safe identification and referral for beneficiaries to GBV case managers,

·         Identify opportunities for awareness raising, whether at a community center or other safe space. Plan the sessions to include children or children and caregivers.

·         Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.

·         To identify protection concerns of young girls and women within the community they are working in; i.e. any trends should be reported to GBV officer and advocate for gaps in PSS activities or services.

·         Prepare and submit reports in timely manner.

·         Attend IMC and other trainings when relevant training is available in coordination with GBV Program Officer and/or Program Manager. 

·         Prepare, take-part and document meetings.

·         Attend meetings with Program manager and/or Officer when such meetings are planned.

·         Engage men and boys within the GBV-IMC Program and promote Gender Equality.

·         Report directly to GBV-Officer.

Deliverables:

·         Weekly and Monthly quantitative and detailed qualitative reports.

·         Ad-hoc reports of any incident or new trends.

·         Coordination meeting minutes

·         Other reports as requested by the GBV program officer.
