Background: International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. In Lebanon, International Medical Corps works to ensure access to quality health services for Syrian refugees, vulnerable Lebanese and other persons of concern by supporting a network of about 50 primary healthcare clinics and dispensaries across the country.
In order to monitor the performance and effectiveness of the programs, and to improve the delivery of future projects, the MEAL department is responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the project; monitoring the project activities on a regular basis, preparing reports on project progress, ensuring accountability and collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.

Job Purpose:  The HIS Assistant is responsible for providing technical support for all health information system matters and will serve as the focal point for all field concerns related to the HIS system with IMC clinics. She/he is responsible for all data collection and collation for IMC’s Programs. She/he will have direct contact with IMC’s Health Officers and have a great bearing on the quality of data collected. Furthermore, she/he will Work with the MEAL team on designing  and updating the MEAL tools and will assist the M&E Department with monthly/yearly program reports as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for PHCCs related to HIS-PHENICS matters, and resolve challenges faced by Health officers in the regions.
  • Ensure optimal performance of PHENICS.
  • Assist in training on PHENICS.
  • Assist in planning, developing and implementing, and testing system updates.
  • Support procurement and finance teams in developing reports through PHENIC.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and reliability through Collecting, and cleaning data on a monthly basis, depending on project requirements.
  • Organize, collect, compile and document all HIS-related data and files, ensuring that all records are properly organized and stored.
  • Any other duties requested by line managers.

Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant academic discipline.

Essential Experience: 1 to 3 years in PHENICS experience is a must

Desirable Experience: Public health Knowledge is a plus

Essential Competency: Information Technology sector Programming languages preferred: SQL
