Health Information System Officer

International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. In Lebanon, International Medical Corps works to ensure access to quality health services for Syrian refugees, vulnerable Lebanese and other persons of concern by supporting a network of about 50 primary healthcare clinics and dispensaries across the country.

In order to monitor the performance and effectiveness of the programs, and to improve the delivery of future projects, the MEAL department is responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the project; monitoring the project activities on a regular basis, preparing reports on project progress, ensuring accountability and collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.

The Health Information Officer is responsible to follow up on all health information system matters and will serve as the focal point for all field concerns related to the HIS system with IMC clinics. In addition, he/she is responsible in building the capacity of IMC teams through trainings and workshops. He/she will be in regular  contact with IMC field staff to ensure timely and needed data collection is in place.

Main Responsibilities:

         •  Administer and monitor daily and monthly operations of the PHC department systems

•  Supervise technical support between the HIS officers and the PHCCs, and resolve challenges faced by the HIS officers in the regions

•  Lead IT support team on PHENICS

•  Prepare SOPs for PHENICS

•  Prepare reports and ensure optimal performance of PHENICS

•  Support procurement and finance teams in developing reports through PHENICS

•  Assist in planning, developing and implementing system updates on EMR and other modules

•  Manage testing the updates of the PHC department systems

•  Lead and provide training on PHENICS system

•  Any other duties requested by line managers.
