Health Officer

The Health Officer assistant will have essential field duties, and reporting responsibilities including:       Counseling and Case management for patients in need for secondary and tertiary care, follow up on patients hospital admissions and discharge. Work closely with the medical consultant on the referral claim forms and provide him with a complete medical file for patients for the medical approval. Send the medical file for patients to the medical coordinator  for financial approval. Follow up with the hospital on emergency admissions and patients discharge. Counseling and case management for patients in need for specialized care and ensure proper referral and follow up including mental health patients. Follow up on  the implementation  and management of the chronic care program for chronic patients. Conduct outreach medical follow up hospital or home visits based on need. Conduct weekly visits for IMC supported PHC clinics, for supervision, monitoring, data collection, feedback and provide medical donations of pharmaceutical supplies.   Monitor and supervise the clinics and Mobile medical teams’ performance, needs and feedback, providing weekly report and update to the Medical Coordinator.       Manage and handle the financial payment at the clinics and Mobile teams and hospitals, with proper processing of all needed documents according to IMC financial regulations.   Manage and handle the supplies and pharmaceutical donations to the designated health facilities with proper handling and process of all relevant documentation according to the IMC logistic regulation. Coordinate, liaise and work with health officer and Medical coordinator to provide:       Weekly report for the health status of beneficiaries served  Weekly health information system data for the clinics and mobile units using IMC health department applied templates Conduct assessment upon need and request for any future projects. Documentation and analysis of data required Report to MC on weekly basis on all health activities. To be part of the emergency medical team in case of emergency. Qualification and requirements Experience with NGOs is a plus Meticulous, social, with excellent negotiating skills Good computer skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work effectively with a team environment honesty and integrity Ability to work under pressure Good in written and spoken English and Arabic languages Ability to work in emergencies
