Human Resources Officer - Emergency Response

Background:

International Medical Corps is accountable to: patients and communities; host government, Ministry of Health; our organization and donors. International Medical Corps commits to a coordinated response under the national health emergency management authorities. International Medical Corps collaborates with the national health system, the cluster and the humanitarian community.

Job Purpose:

This position will support International Medical Corps' emergency response delivering outpatient clinical care to disaster effected populations by Beirut Blast.

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for the implementation of recruitment processes, acquisition for critical roles within the ERU in Lebanon. Includes sourcing, screening and facilitating selection of staff, volunteers, and consultants for International Medical Corps’ emergency responses.  

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process to insure rapid deployment for critically needed positions for the emergency response.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough reference check and coordinate background investigation, making job offers contingent upon successful completion.
  • Manages intern program by conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns; advising managers on training and coaching.
  • Assist in orienting all responders in country and ensuring that orientation schedule, time sheet and separation check list forms HR/admin forms, on-site training and contact list are given to them at their arrival
  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
