Human Resources Officer (Repost)

Background: The human resources department handles a range of different functions. The department is responsible for recruitment and staff development, Compensation and benefits, Employee relations and maintaining employment laws as well support organization changes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies,recruiters, media, and internet sites
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications. 
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references;comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules;
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications. 
  • Manages intern program by conducting orientations;scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns; advising managers on training and coaching.
  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
  • Coordinate a staff training program based on organizational and employee needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in recruitment is a must.
  • Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
  • Developing knowledge is required at the intermediate level,considerable knowledge is required at the experienced level, and thorough knowledge is required at the advanced level.
  • Knowledge of general office practices
  • Ability to select and compile data for correspondence or reports
  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines of the work area.
  • Expert in main computer applications (Microsoft Office Applications…)
