Infection Prevention & Control Trainer

Functions and responsibilities The trainer will be responsible of preparing and conducting Clinic-Based infection prevention and control (IPC) trainings. The trainer is expected to provide a one day’s training on IPC at selected primary health care centers (PHCCs) located in different areas of IMC’s Health operations namely Beirut, Bekaa, North, and the South. The trainer should: 1.      Develop the objective, syllabus and agenda for the training 2.      The training material should be presented in Arabic 3.      Cover the major IPC topics in primary health care namely hand hygiene, disinfection and sterilization, standard precautions, waste management, sharp disposal, injections, employee health, cleaning of facility and others 4.      Prepare a training report for each clinic (based on IMC template) that includes: a.       Pre-post test b.      A baseline assessment c.       Findings and challenges d.      Follow up plan 5.      Present a final report alongside his/her recommendations and follow up plan. This plan will guide IMC Health officers in assessing the impact of the training after a designated period of time. Note: A minimum of 3 hours on site training is required. Academic and professional         i.            Possession of a relative degree or certification in health specifically infection prevention and control Experience         i.            A minimum of two years of satisfactory working experience       ii.            Experience in designing and presenting training programs     iii.            Knowledge and relevant experience in infection prevention and control Language Good command of written and spoken Arabic and working knowledge of English/French
