Mental Health Area Manager - North

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   Program Ensure the appropriate functioning of the MH case management services through the proper organization of work schedule, coordinating field visits, and keeping track of achieved activities on daily basis; Oversee and organize the work of MH case management staff that includes social workers, psychotherapists and psychiatrists working on the field; Attend and represent IMC MH Department in local coordination meetings on MH; Ensure that M&E mechanisms are in place through M&E tools and analysis of program activities in the field as assigned by Mental Health Coordinator and Senior Psychosocial Field Officer. Ensuring MHPSS activities and trainings in the area of work run according to protocol and program development: Advocacy and Awareness program, including community based awareness sessions; Mental health and Case Management Training Program; Mental Health and Gender Based Violence response services; Capacity Building initiatives in line with IASC MHPSS guidelines; Listening and Counseling Training; Ensure the utilization and implementation of measuring tools to assess success in accordance to indicators of program. Ensure coordination with the IMC Health department and working in line with the IMC health officer in the area. Work closely with IMC national psychosocial staff and psychosocial logistics officer to ensure that psychosocial and clinical mental health programming and activities in the area are well coordinated. Program development and recommendations, as required. Ensure programming is on track in absence of direct supervisor; reporting daily on important issues that require supervisor feedback and decision making. Conducting interviews with service users (Displaced Syrians, refugees and host population) and their families to assess and review their situation; Liaising with, and making referrals of specific cases to IMC; Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for proper information flow and  legal action; Participating in training, supervision and team meetings, and be main mental health focal point for IMC in the Bekaa, representing IMC in coordination meetings; Reporting Keeps track of patient numbers/cases through IMC outpatient records, to be submitted at the end of every month. Data collection, collation and analysis. Document meetings that take place in the area of work. Program documentation, data collection, analysis, final outcomes report for donor reports. Documentation of all activities and outcomes. Submit regular reports (weekly and monthly) to the M&E Officer and Mental Health Coordinator. Office documentation and other duties as required by MH Coordinator; The MH Field Officer will report directly to the MH Coordinator.
