JOB SUMMARY: The Case Management Officer is responsible to conduct case management sessions to GBV survivors as well as to provide technical oversight to the caseworkers.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Case Management Provision
• Promote and introduce the International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs and individuals.
• Provide GBV case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable persons, particularly survivors of gender-based violence at the primary health clinics, community centers and field levels. Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementation of the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up/revision and case closure when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through the survivor-centered approach.
• Work closely with different IMC departments to properly refer beneficiaries as needed.
• Contribute to and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that the team is informed of all relevant and available services through identifying opportunities for coordination with different NGOs for future cooperation.
• Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.
• Conduct outreach and home visits and document it, in addition to handling urgent cases once needed and outside working hours.
• Receive referrals, take action and provide feedback of actions taken in a timely manner to manager and other agencies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records, and beneficiaries’ files that are in line with GBVIMS standards, monitor the CM database, and support the officer in case file audit procedure.
• Prepare and submit reports in timely manner
• Attend IMC trainings when such trainings are planned and implemented in addition to meetings once requested.
Case Management Oversight
• Provide technical oversight to all the caseworkers regarding all the steps of case management including psychosocial support.
• Support the caseworkers in the daily implementation of the case management activities including identifying safe entry points for survivors’ disclosures, updating referral pathways, coordinating with other actors, advocating on behalf of the survivors etc.
• Provide support to the caseworkers in the case filing both the physical forms as well as GBVIMS and Primero.
• Provide support to the caseworkers in filling the monthly data workbooks.
• Support the GBV officers in preparing the GBV case management narrative report.
• Support in the induction and training of newly recruited caseworkers.
• Liaise with the case management focal point and the GBV coordinator to discuss urgent and complicated cases identified by the GBV caseworkers.

• Monthly data workbook;
• Monthly qualitative reports;
• GBVIMS incident recorder and Primero;

JOB REQUIREMENTS *
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Typically, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related fields. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
• Typically, 5+ year of relevant experience working in the field of social work.
• Previous experience working with GBV survivors, solid experience in GBV case management, previous experience working in MHPSS is a plus.
• Experience in working closely with community members throughout a program cycle
• Experience in or understanding of program accountability principles
• Knowledge of, respect and empathy for the communities we are working with
• Commitment to championing community and partner points of view
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills
• Very good listening and facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants, local officials, partners and all levels of staff.
• Good capacity building skills, ability to provide technical oversight to a case management team.
• Familiarity with global case management guidelines and tools.
