Outreach Gbv Social Worker/case Manager

The GBV SW/case manager will be the focal point for all GBV cases identified by other social workers and/or stakeholders; therefore, s/he will be an essential source of providing information regarding referrals and processes when needed on all GBV issues in the field; Conduct community outreach and home visits as well as visits to other centers and PHC with the area of work; Identify GBV cases in need of  support or counseling; Refer the GBV cases to psychotherapists, psychiatrists, hospitals, centres, other local NGOs and INGOs depending on the level of needs;  Collect information about GBV cases and their families through interviews, observation, and tests carried out via outreach home visits. Provide social support to individuals and families in general and victims of GBV in particular and their families among the displaced Syrians at the primary health clinics, shelters level and other centers supported by IMC; Work directly with the case management team including psychologist, psychiatrists and field officer to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home/ shelter level; Complete intake assessments, evaluations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary; Develop a list of topics and   themes based on the outputs of needs assessment, and case management  sessions aiming to increase the level of awareness on GBV issues targeting young females, women and potential young males; Organize, implement and conduct or assist in conducting awareness raising sessions on GBV issues targeting      groups of young females and women; Maintaining, develop records  and prepare reports on all GBV cases, awareness sessions among other activities; Attend the technical meetings for the area team and other required meetings with the area based MH officer and the community center manager; Encourage individuals as well as families to report GBV cases, express their feelings, discuss issues related to their daily lives;   Reporting: The GBV focal point/SW reports directly to IMC area MH officer. S/he will submit the following reports at the end of each week: The GBV Case Manager Report; The Narrative Report which includes: the number of beneficiaries, identified GBV cases, actions taken, number of house-visits conducted, awareness raising activities, number of people attending the session with breakdown per age group and gender;   Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years in the field of community outreach and social work; Previous work experience in GBV  detection and referrals; Minimum of 2 years of previous NGO experience; Fluent in Arabic – knowledge of   English is a plus; Ability to manage cases as  sensitive as the GBV cases in privacy and total respect of human right and      work ethics; Living in area of work.
