Ensure the appropriate functioning of the MH case management services in the area;
Ensure proper organization of work schedule of the MH staff, coordinating field visits, and keeping track of achieved activities on daily basis;
Oversee and follow up the work of MH case management staff that includes social workers, psychotherapists and psychiatrists;
Attend and represent IMC MH Department in local coordination meetings on health, MH; and relevant issues to IMC programs;
Ensure that monitoring and evaluation (M&E) mechanisms are in place through M&E tools and analysis of program activities in the field as assigned by Mental Health Coordinator or any other designated person.
Ensure the utilization and implementation of measuring tools to assess success in accordance to indicators of program.
Coordinate with the IMC Health department and working in line with the IMC health officer in the area.
Work closely with IMC national MHPSS staff and logistics officer to ensure that psychosocial and clinical mental health programming and activities in the area are well coordinated.
Program development and recommendations, as required.
Conducting interviews and intake assessments with service users (Displaced Syrians, refugees and host population) and their families to assess and review their situation;
Liaising with, and making referrals of specific cases to IMC;
Ensure the implementation of all MHPSS activities within the guidelines of IMC Lebanon;
Participating in training, supervision and team meetings, and be main mental health focal point for IMC in the Bekaa, representing IMC in coordination meetings;
Reporting
Keeps track of patient numbers/cases through IMC outpatient records, to be submitted at the end of every month. Maintain office documentation are always updated and well protected and secured;
Document meetings that take place in the area of work.
Program documentation, data collection, analysis, final outcomes.
Submit regular reports (weekly and monthly) to the M&E Officer and Mental Health Coordinator.
The MH Field Officer will report directly to the MH Coordinator.
Requirements:
Masters in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology or any relevant fields;
Excellent organizational and managerial skills;
Have an experience in Mental Health activities and programs with previous NGO experience;
Fluent in spoken Arabic and English;
Familiar with the IASC MHPSS guidelines in emergency settings;
Personal interest in Gender Based Violence, women’s rights, educational and mental health issues;
Willing to adhere to field schedule, great sense of commitment and high willingness to learn;
Good communication, teamwork skills and ability to work in multicultural environment.
