Psychotherapist- Supervisor -Support And Supervision Unit (Bekaa)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Based on the International Medical Corps mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) guidelines, the consultant psychotherapist will: -          Provide psychotherapy session to displaced Syrians, other refugees when needed and members of the host community at the different IMC supported clinics/PHCs. -          When needed, provide psychological support to displaced Syrians and their families at the hospital level. -          Provide psychosocial support – groups and individuals – to trauma survivors and conflict affected persons. -          Work directly with the social worker/case manager to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home level. -          Fill in the individual care plan for every patient and update it on regular basis in consultation with the case management team. -          Provide regular feedback to the Case Management (CM) team especially the social worker regarding the follow up of the cases and progress of therapy. -          Provide direct support and guidance to the social worker on common cases. -          Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary. -          Keep track of patient numbers/cases through IMC outpatient records, to be submitted at the end of every month. -          Make necessary and timely referrals when necessary. -          Attend weekly or biweekly meetings including the technical meeting with the rest of the CM team. -          Attend monthly meetings with the MHPSS Coordinator and MH Advisor to present and discuss cases, the psychotherapist will also attend working sessions and trainings organized by IMC. -          Report directly to IMC Senior MHPSS Senior Officer. -          Conduct monthly visits to each mhGAP trained PHC clinic as part of the monitoring, providing support and supervising the work of integrating mental health into primary health care plan. -          Conduct bilateral individual meetings with the PHC staff trained on mhGAP at the PHC level in order to assess the need, identify gaps and challenges and provide support and guidance. -          Conduct group discussions with the PHC staff trained on mhGAP at the PHC level in order to assess the communication and dynamics of interaction among the staff in addition to provide general guidance towards improving the MH services at the PHC level. -          Develop, monitor and implement clinic based/outreach treatment plans together with trained PHC workers. -          Provide guidance regarding therapeutic services and referrals of Adult and Child/Adolescent patients done by trained PHC workers. -          Complete evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary. -          Develop a plan to address gaps and challenges identified by the PHC staff and Directors related to the integration of mental health into primary health care. Deliverables: -          Submit outpatient records and monthly summaries at the end of each month. -          Submit timesheets of executed works that include number of sessions, beneficiaries/patients. -          Monthly support and supervision time sheets -          Monthly support and supervision field visit reports as per the WHO formats and questionnaires;
