Reproductive Health Supervisor (Repost)

  The Reproductive Health Supervisor (RHS) will be responsible to provide assistance and support to the “Targeted Safe Motherhood Campaigns” implemented by International Medical Corps in the Bekaa. The RHS will work to guarantee and improve the implementation of reproductive health activities provided by IMC health education staff. Additionally, the RHS will contribute to use of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on weekly and monthly basis the reproductive health activities and updates to the HEPM and the HEO.    Place in the Organization The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Health Education Program Manager (HEPM) and/or the HEO in the Bekaa and under the supervision of the officer, will actively insure the implementation of the reproductive health activities. The RHS will need to conduct daily visits to the implementation sites and work with the Reproductive Health Educator and Community Health Workers in coordination with the community health educators of each region as well as to coordinate with the International Medical Corps health team.   Functions and responsibilities With guidance from the HEPM, the HEO and the HEFA, and in coordination with CHEs the RHS will work closely together on matters of supervision of the CHWs team in Central and West Bekaa in selected sites, and provide direct coaching and mentoring of the International Medical Corps’s outreach CHWs during RH activities. To facilitate delivering Targeted Safe Motherhood promotion and ensure proper reproductive health education activities the RHS will need to: 1. Assist the HEO/HEFA in the implementing of the “Targeted Safe Motherhood Campaigns” of public health education and promoting establishment of local reproductive health services. 2. Facilitate the Reproductive health education training in the Bekaa to promote outreach community based Safe Motherhood programs. 3. Identify the needs for reproductive health promotion and services for women. 4. Supervise and work closely with the community health workers on a daily basis field visits. 5. Work closely with the community health educators on a daily basis field visits. 6. Get engaged in distribution of health information materials, such as brochures, posters, kits … 7. Answers reproductive health information requests received by department or reviews correspondence. 8. Submit weekly and monthly reports to the HEO/HEPM on achievements and provide updates on daily basis. 9. Assist monitoring and evaluation of the reproductive health education activities. 10. Submit reports as requested by the HEPM and HEO. 11. Assist monitoring & evaluation of Targeted Safe Motherhood project field activities and ensure targets are met and deadlines respected 14. Attend regular meetings with the HEPM, HEO, and HEFA team. 15. Conduct other RH related duties as requested by line manager. 16. Adhere to all of IMC’s policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct and SOPs.
