Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Overall conditions:
The self-care consultant will be leading on self-care group session and individual sessions in the selected area. The identification of a venue (clinic) for individual sessions as well as communication and transportation expenses will be the full responsibility of the consultant. The consultant will be receiving a fixed installment covering services conducted during the working period and upon the submission of required documentation.
Specific tasks:
- Monitors environmental factors that could lead to stress, with particular focus on stress related to critical incidents including emergency and crisis situations;
- Facilitate one staff-care group sessions to IMC staff and/or PHC providers/outreach workers in the selected area
- Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to IMC staff and, PHC providers/outreach workers based on demand. Work directly with the International Medical Corps MHPSS Coordinator to develop intervention plans
- Provide regular feedback to the IMC MH coordinator regarding the follow up of the sessions, interaction of participants and progress of therapy sessions.
- Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary.
- Keep track of sessions – individual - through a special attendance sheets and reporting format developed for this purpose
- Make necessary and timely referrals when necessary.
- Attend coordination meetings with IMC relevant departments, including HR and MH coordinator when required.
- Maintains confidentiality of information shared outside the group and individual sessions.
- Accomplish any other assignments given by supervisors or the Program Coordinator.
Deliverables:
- Submit consultant periodic Report of the work executed during the month
- Submit a final report upon completion of the staff-care project
Finalized psychotherapy training – integrative approach.
