Senior Mental Health case manager - BML

  1. Provide accurate referrals when need be; i.e., the Senior Mental Health case manager will refer beneficiaries to IMC supported clinics, hospitals, and centres; in addition to other local NGOs and INGOs.  Moreover, the senior mental health case manager will dispense information about the various programs and services offered by IMC and its affiliates. 
  2. Identify families or individuals in need of mental health and psychosocial support through outreach work and home visits
  3. Conducting interviews with service users (Refugees and host population) and their families to assess and review their situation.
  4. Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary. 
  5. Participate in training, supervision and meetings with the team and other partners when required by direct supervisor.
  6. Promote mental health services and conduct awareness sessions about different Mental Health topics
  7. Support the work of case managers within the area
  8. Assist case managers in facilitating psychosocial support activities
  9. Assist MHPSS managers in compiling monthly reports and completing quantitative and qualitative reports when needed

Reporting:

  • Reports directly to IMC MHPSS Manager
  • The weekly Case Manager Report;
  • The weekly Narrative Report;
  • Weekly and Monthly Budget template report
  • Assist in the compilation of reports and completion of required documents when requested
  • Meets required deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Social Work (BA or Masters)
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years in the field of social work.
  • Previous NGO experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in Arabic – English is a plus.
  • Adheres to ethical considerations and principles in regards to working with vulnerable populations.
  • Previous experience in Mental Health is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with IMC MHPSS program as a case manager
  • Participated in at least 2 major MHPSS trainings
  • Have shown strong commitment and case management skills in their performance evaluation.
