Position Title: Center Manager/Social Worker Field Site: Beirut Southern Suburbs
Primary Responsibilities
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsible for opening and closing the center on a daily basis, providing inclusive access to the center by the Iraqi community of Beirut Southern Suburbs (BSS) and vulnerable host community.
Organize, alongside IMC, trainings and activities being held at the center, coordinating time and date schedule with beneficiaries and trainers/instructors.
Conducting interviews with service users (Iraqi Refugees and host population) to assess and review their situation;
Organizing and managing AlMoltaka AlThakafi offering psychosocial support to enable Iraqi Refugee to lead the fullest lives possible; identifying cases, and preparing information leaflets for registering.
Undertaking and writing up assessments, which meet specified standards and timescales;
Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for proper information flow and legal action;
Participating in training, supervision and setting up of weekly team meetings, and monthly social worker/case manager meetings.
The social worker will be working 5 days per week from 8:30 till 4:30 (Monday till Friday)
Social worker will play a role in linking the IMC male clinic in Fern el Chebeck, to the Haret Hrek Center.
Social Worker will also spend one day a week at the male clinic to efficiently establish the link.
Send a weekly work plan for the Regional Psychosocial Coordinator and the IMC Social Worker Focal Point at the beginning of every week .
Assisting in the logistical aspects of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Youth Empowering Program (YEP) sessions that take place at the center.
Work in the recruitment of beneficiaries and participants for the ECD and YEP sessions.
Coordinating with local and international NGOs in the region.
Meeting up with the IMC Social Worker Focal Point and other IMC Social Workers once a month to discuss cases and interventions plans.
Gathering data to be inputted in the IMC Access database and the RAIS information system.
Coordinating with other NGOs and hospitals for referrals from and to (and vice versa).
Working in coordination with the IMC Primary Health Care Center in Haret Hrek – acting as the link between the PHC clinic and the IMC center.
Working with the IMC Psychiatrist in the monitoring of the dissemination and prescription of psychotropic medications.
Conducting house-visits and outreach work to Iraqi beneficiaries.
The direct line of supervision is to the Regional Mental Health Coordinator.
Reporting:
Submitting the monthly Case Manager Report to the Senior IMC Psychosocial Field Officer; working with the IMC Technical Team in Haret Hrek in the writing of the Care Plan.
Qualifications:
Social Work background
Minimum 2 – 3 years in the field of social work
Previous NGO experience is a plus
Fluent in Arabic – English is a plus
Adheres to ethical considerations and principles in regards to working with vulnerable populations.
