Period of Performance: November 16th, 2020 until March 31st, 2021
Level of Effort: The Consultant will work for the above mentioned period, or as needed to provide required deliverables
Background: IMC’s MEAL Team is conducting a KAP survey to measure community attitudes towards individuals with mental health illnesses. The CAMI (Community Attitudes towards Mental Health Illnesses) has been chosen as the tool for data collection for the purpose of this study.
Purpose: The purpose of this scope of work is to support the procurement of the services of the consultant to support with the sampling methodology, and statistical analysis of the data collected
Task Description: Consultant will serve as the statistician for the study’s sampling, result analysis, and report writing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed methodology given the areas of current implementation to ensure the sample size is representative; the KAP survey should include a sample size calculation that will render the results statistically valid
- Suggest any other appropriate data collection tools if needed (besides the CAMI tool)
- Provide necessary technical input and information to ensure the data collection tools and methodology capture the required data
- Provide necessary tools and templates for data analysis
- Provide a data analysis plan
- Complete the data analysis of the data collected, and ensure that the final analyzed data provided is ready for interpretation by the technical expert. Contact with IMC teams to: o Attend an inception meeting
- Review available resources for carrying out the KAP Survey
- Ensure common understanding on the ToR
- Provide an inception report that reflects the sampling methodology and data analysis plan, as well as any other relevant details
- Write a final report that explains the study findings and captures the below:
- Executive summary
- The sampling methodology
- Data collection tool and implementation,
- Ethical considerations,
- Explanation and interpretation of the findings,
- Limitations, and recommendations
- Use the interpretation of data provided by the technical specialist and elaborate on it in the report in a clear and simple manner, one not requiring the reader’s understanding of statistical components.
Deliverables:
- Inception Report/Clear Sampling Methodology
- Data analysis of data collected
- Submission of final report
Fixed Price Fee:A Fixed Fee of 1,800 USD will be given to the consultant, which will be divided respectively into three payments upon the submission of each of the above deliverables
