Finance Officer

INARA is looking for a Finance Officer who will be responsible for creating INARA’s internal financial systems and procedures, accounting, financial reporting, and assisting the Programme Manager with budgeting. The person will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with grant requirements.  The Finance officer will support and assist the Programme Manager and team to ensure that finances are carried out according to policies and procedures. The role is 2.5 days a week and a 6-month contract. Interviews are held on a rolling basis for an immediate start. This position is for a Lebanese national or resident of Lebanon   RESPONSIBILITIES Creating and implementing financial systems and internal procedures Weekly book keeping and monthly reconcilement of petty cash and bank account amounts Piloting INARA’s online financial software Ensuring that financial systems and internal procedures are adhered to by the team and that requirements from donors are fulfilled Preparation of payments in accordance to INARA’s financial procedures Responsible for the month end accounting close process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the ledger Assisting the Programme Manager in updating INARA’s budget and preparing grant spending reports   REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in accounting (desirable) or finance One year minimum experience in non-profit accounting Experience working in the finance department in a humanitarian organisation in Lebanon Strong interpersonal, written and oral English communication skills with an ability to communicate to a wide range of actors Ability to work independently, to initiative and with the ability to prioritise workloads without direct supervision Trustworthy with the ability to keep information confidential Experience using online software and Microsoft Office
