Graphic Design Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION INARA is looking for an enthusiastic person to take on the role of Graphic Design Intern for one day a week. Under the supervision of the Operations Officer, the intern will gain real responsibility as the focal point of INARA’s holiday campaign. As INARA is a start-up, the intern would have significant influence on the branding direction of INARA, as well as distribution of their work to a wider audience. RESPONSIBILITIES ­  Creating visual content for INARA’s social media under the supervision of the Operations Officer ­  Contributing to the development of the holiday campaign   Producing relevant promotional material for online and paper distribution in collaboration with the INARA team  Organizing our statistics into a visually compelling infographic in January    REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree (or working towards a Bachelor’s degree) Love for all things design, and an ease with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign ­ In-depth understanding of social media ­ Ability to work independently ­ Strong interpersonal, written and oral English communication skills with an ability to communicate to a wide range of actors ­ Strong graphic communication skills, as well as critical thinking in design at a variety of scales Interest in the humanitarian sector   WORKING ENVIRONMENT ­ Located in Beirut, the intern will receive a cafe membership at AltCity in Hamra ­ The intern is expected to dedicate between 1 full working day a week and exact days/ hours and starting times will be agreed on an individual basis ­ The internship will last for a period of 3 months  This is an unpaid internship   TO APPLY Send your portfolio and a sample banner designed for the @INARAorg Twitter account to jane@inara.org The deadline for application is 16th November 2015.
