Fundraising Intern JOB DESCRIPTION
INARA is looking for an enthusiastic person to take on the role of Fundraising Intern. Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer, the intern will gain real responsibility as the focal point of INARA’s fundraising efforts. They will be primarily tasked with carrying out vital business sponsor mapping for the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To carry out open source research on businesses’ charitable programmes and philanthropic activities
Map out available sponsorships from businesses.
Identify the best businesses for potential fundraising opportunities.
Help map out a strategy for reaching the identified business sponsors.
Help draft letters and communication with potential business sponsors.
Work closely with the Fundraising Officer.
REQUIREMENTS
Very good level of written and spoken English.
Ability to conduct research independently.
Ability to sift through information.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to conduct research on the Internet.
Interest in developing a career in fundraising
Interest in the humanitarian sector
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Located in Beirut, the intern will work independently in the agreed working space
The intern is expected to dedicate one full working day and exact days/ hours and starting times will be agreed on an individual basis
The internship will last for a period of 3 months
