MHPSS facilitator (Beirut- Mount Lebanon)

Background

Under the responsibility of the Country Director and directly reporting to the MHPSS team Leader the MHPSS facilitator will contribute to the implementation of the MHPSS activities to achieve our mission of providing crucial support to individuals and communities affected by psychological distress. And improve children's and caregiver’s mental health and overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial screenings and assessments under the supervision of MHPSS team leader. using standardized tools and interview techniques 
• Support MHPSS team by co-facilitating counseling sessions to families, and groups. using modules and curriculum provided by INARA
• Assist in the development and implementation of psychoeducational awareness campaigns focused on mental health and psychosocial issues. 
• Contribute to the creation of educational materials, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
• Provide administrative services, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining inventory, and organizing resources,
• Collaborate with MHPSS team in responding to crisis situations and providing immediate support to individuals experiencing acute psychological distress. Follow established protocols and provide appropriate referrals when necessary.
•  Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and community workers, to ensure holistic
• Actively engage in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities. Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and ethical guidelines related to mental health and psychosocial support.
• Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential case files in accordance with INARA’s data protection policies and donor requirements.
• Use INARA’s case management platform to track session notes, treatment plans, referrals, and progress evaluations.
• Provide reports on activities, challenges, and success stories for internal monitoring and external reporting

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mental health concepts, psychosocial support
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Empathy, sensitivity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of using computer software and applications for documentation and data management.
