Case Management Assistant - 3 Positions

IOM’s protection unit aims to promote and uphold migrants’ rights and support migrants and other vulnerable communities to access and exercise their rights. The unit also supports Ministries and Government entities in their roles in promoting and fulfilling migrants’ rights. IOM does so both directly and in partnership with other stakeholders, through advocacy and communication, thematic guidance, training and capacity building, convening & dialogues, thematic research and direct assistance. Specifically, direct assistance includes case management, and protection services as well as assisted voluntary return and reintegration for migrants in vulnerable situation.

Under the overall supervision of Head of Programs and the direct supervision of the protection officer, the case management assistant will be responsible for the following activities:

  1. Assist in the implementation of protection activities including case management and direct assistance activities within the scope of protection programs of IOM Lebanon.  
  2. Support in the screening of beneficiaries in need of direct assistance.
  3. Assist in data entry of relevant beneficiary data into MIMOSA data base, in line with IOM’s Data Protection Principles.
  4. Assist in the logistic/ administrative support including with the preparation of purchase request, advance request, and advance settlement.
  5. Conduct counselling sessions with beneficiaries as needed.  
  6. Extend direct assistance to beneficiaries, as required.
  7. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Education Degree Details
Completed bachelor degree from an accredited academic institution preferably in Law, Political or Social science, international affairs, or related field.
Experience with protection and assistance to vulnerable population
Experience in relevant issues such as migration, displacement, and humanitarian assistance an asset;
Working experience with International Organizations or INGO an advantage
Have knowledge of migrant’s thematic topics, i.e. trafficking in persons, labor migration, etc, a distinct advantage;
