Field Assistant (Public Health) - 3 Positions - G4

The successful candidate will: 

  1. Assist in the implementation, and monitoring of project activities in coordination with the senior field coordinator.
  2. Support the work of IOM public health outreach activities and assist in monitoring the community health workers with the area of responsibility to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed and reported promptly. Report any incomplete tasks and wrongdoings to the direct supervisor.
  3. Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
  4. Assist in strengthening health surveillance and increase the identification of TB and HIV and link identified patients to diagnosis and treatment
  5. Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  6. Ensure regular and structured visits to IOM-supported health facilities and institutions and draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.
  7. Participate in the data collection for assessments and surveys designed to understand the health needs, barriers to access to healthcare and health-seeking behaviours and decisions of the target population.
  8. Support in the organization of meetings, workshops and training sessions in coordination with the Senior field coordinator.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • School diploma with four years of relevant experience; or,
    • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical health field (preferably medicine or nursing) or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.

    • In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
    • Knowledge of the public health sector in Lebanon
    • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming
