Finance Assistant

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of Resource Management Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for providing necessary support to Financial functions of IOM Beirut mission and hub/satellite offices.   Responsible for preparing monthly and yearly-end closure and submit related reports to concerned units.   Reviewing budgets and assist RMO in preparation of the budget performance report and analyse the variances between approved budgets and actual expenditures and follow-up with PMs and RMO Verifying payments and settlements before proceeding with payment requests and after posting in SAP, and ensure that all supporting documents and other requirements are complete Assisting RMO in keeping internal control and ensure the integrity of all data posted in PRISM Preparation of correspondence and answer queries related to financial matters. Preparation of BNP and creating new projects structure and follow-up with HQ when necessary. Performing settlements of the travel expense claims and coordinate with respective staff member in order to solve pending issue Provide general support to Finance team in the absence of RMO and other colleagues in the Unit & Guide and, trains new staff Coordinate  with other units and provide support on financial procedures and policie Any other duties that may be assigned.
