Finance Assistant (Accounting)

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of Resource Management Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for providing necessary support to Financial functions of IOM Beirut mission and hub/satellite offices.   Responsible for the month end procedures including closing of all financial activities, bank and cash reconciliations; Follow up with procurement and operations for open POs; Review and post accounts payable and accounts receivable entries in SAP;  Act as the Treasury Controller for the mission: liquidity management and bank balance reviews; Running SAP financial reports; In coordination with the RMO create and revise project structures including add new business area and new WBSs and follow up with PCST; Maintain and create vendors in the mission. Responsible of the preparation and finalization of the yearly BSP in coordination with the IOM RMO and budgeting for new IOM projects including estimate office and staff cost, in order to include it in the yearly Budget, project proposals and funding requests. Prepare the mission monthly funding requests and ensure sufficient funds are available locally Prepare the interim and final financial reports to be submitted to the donor and submit the monthly Ad-hoc reports to the responsible regional office following established guidelines. Establish and maintain a systematic way to archive all financial documents Perform any other duties as may be assigned
