Ict Assistant Fap

Under the programmatic supervision of the Family Assistance Program (FAP) Project Manager and Project Coordinator, the administrative supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct technical guidance of the Regional ICT Officer, the successful candidate will be based in Beirut and will be will be primarily responsible for the  support of the IT infrastructure and application system implementation for the FAP in Beirut.   Core Functions / Responsibilities: 1. Support the internal coordination of all IT/IS related activities in support of the Family Assistance Program to be established in Beirut; 2. Address all IT/IS related requests  in a timely and accurate manner, while efficiently allocating resources and support where required; 3. Provide support in  implementing necessary systems upgrades and IT infrastructure changes compliant with IOM ICC Standards and the IT requirements of the donor, and in close coordination with ITCSC/ITU Manila; install systems, network components and software; suggest best technical solutions in order to achieve required standards while taking into consideration local technical constraints; 4. Assist in the configuring, installing and troubleshooting network infrastructure including routers, wan optimizers, firewalls, gateways, access points, vlans, etc 5. Incorporate IOM’s Data Protection Principles into all IT/IS solutions and service delivery; 6. When required, provide IT and Communication training to all end users to ensure productive use of existing and new systems. 7. Support in the administration of servers providing ITC services (Application System and Databases, Appointment System, LAN, WAN, Messaging, Internet connectivity, etc.), to prevent and minimize downtime or service interruptions.  Perform daily monitoring and adequate completion of backups 8. Maintain the office's ITC inventory for hardware and software (safeguarding media and licenses), including regular updates to the technical documentation of related IT networks 9. Support in the overall maintenance of present and upcoming ICT equipment, as well as Local Area Networks 10. Support staff with technical and software problems encountered in the FAP 11. Support access control management; cards registration, deletion and logs reporting 12. Seek quotes and provide to procurement to carry out purchases of IT equipment as required by new projects and by upgrading requests by MAC IT Unit and FAP Management Team; 13. Maintain a professional appearance and migrant-friendly demeanour at all times 14. Inform management of any problems or issues immediately and regularly make suggestions on how to improve efficiency and service;   15. Maintain and ensure confidentiality of all FAP-related matters, in accordance with guidelines and instructions. 16. Take active steps to mitigate fraud and malfeasance, and to monitor the integrity of records containing individual data. 17. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Education

• University degree in Computer Science with three years of relevant professional experience, or high school diploma with five years progressively responsible technical experience;
• Knowledge and experience with Windows network infrastructure in a multi-site environment, MS Office, Antivirus Software and utilities.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be a distinct advantage.

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in ITC including Database/system Management, or a combination of study, training and professional work in a related field; preferably in the Humanitarian or Development Fields;
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher;
• Previous work experience in international organizations and service industry companies would be an advantage.
