Under the programmatic supervision of the Family Assistance Program (FAP) Project Coordinator and the administrative supervision of the Chief of Mission, the successful candidate will be based in Beirut and will carry out the day-to-day operations of the FAP’s social media initiatives. It is vital this role promotes consistency among FAP activities, providing accurate and up to date information on the role of the FAP and Embassy/Consulate. All duties are to be performed in accordance with IOM policies, practices and procedures.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Draft regular internal mission activities reports to donor and other relevant units in Headquarters as requested;
Monitor and report on German Embassy rules and regulations for Family Reunification (FR) visas, visa requirements and Syrian border transit issues from social media activities including campaigns delivered across various social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and You Tube;
Monitor conversations with followers of German Embassy social media outlets and participate in dialogue around specific trending topics and current events;
Identify social media marketing campaigns and make recommendations for implementation in order to drive social media efforts;
Liaise closely with the relevant units to regularly update mission documents, such as the periodic report, information sheets, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, and other written reports and materials on FAP activities;
Monitor trends and new social media opportunities as they become available and provide suggestions on using them to support FAP information dissemination;
Ensure that there is appropriate gender awareness in all IOM communications in relation to the project.
Assist in the planning, logistics and organization of weekly and monthly internal meetings as requested. This includes the coordination between programme managers to receive their inputs after the meetings in order to create and finalize Notes for File (NFF) and Instruction documents.
Maintain relationships and liaise with media, partners and government counterparts, as well as provide input on the development of new media activities. .
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Experience
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in a similar setting & capacity (or five years for candidates holding high school diploma); supervisory experience; Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities;
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Good knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher;

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with various stakeholders;
• Previous work experience in international organizations and service industry companies would be an advantage;
• Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills with an attention to detail.
Fluency in Arabic and English is required; working knowledge of German is an advantage.
