Under the overall guidance of the Chief Medical Officer and the direct supervision of the PEC/PDMS MAF and Medical Escorts Team Leader (Senior National Migration Health Physician) in Beirut the incumbent is responsible to
Performs both routine and sensitive clinical tasks required by the Migration Health Physician during the pre-departure screening , ensure antifraud measures are fully implemented at these stages of Migration Health Assessment, decode serology results (if requested by the supervisors), take and record medical history, perform anthropometrics, visual acuity and vital signs measurements.
All refugees recalled for pre-departure evaluation should have their prior medical records retrieved in Preparation. Prior to PE they should undergo history review and vital sign measurement with the nurse
Prepare cover letter for all external referrals including lab, radiology, specialist, hospital admission
Contact consultant doctors for referral schedule, coordinate with Data assistant to arrange the beneficiaries transportation, collect the specialist report and share with the doctor, keep tracking for all the referrals
Escort serious medical conditions requiring hospitals admission, coordinate and report to the team leader , daily follow up to be reported, keep tracking for all hospital admissions.
Updates the medical files on MIMOSA and eMedical and vaccination records as per the responsible physician instruction
Administers prescriptions/recommendations ordered by the Migration Health Physicians, including application of appropriate treatment./ vaccination
Prepares, install or sterilizes medical equipment needed for medical examination, ensure that doctors clinics are equipped with necessary medical utilities
Requests and re-stocks required medical supplies and drugs and medicines.
Monitors and reports expiration dates of drugs and medicines and refers to the team leader for disposal. Through biweekly inventory report on all available clinics medications, vaccines, supplies and utilities
Maintains and safe-keeps medical kits used by medical escorts and staff on duty mission.
Prepare and deliver the escort kits/documents/ medical cases medical files to the medical escort than Collect and check after completion of mission
Performs pre-departure medical checks and administers vaccines and/or treatment for traveling refugees/migrants as per the doctors order
Prepares a daily report on the referrals and additional investigation
Keep tracking of all escort mission including destination country, medical cases and escort duties
Keep tracking on deferred cases and follow up until cleared by the doctor
Monitor the fridge temperature and record on specific log
Participates in field missions in out of duty stations and as act nurse escort of medical cases if required.
Maintains confidentiality of information and collaborative relationship with clients, partners and health professionals.
Performs any other duties that may be assigned by from time to time.
