Pre Embarkation Check /Pre Departure Medical Screening Physician

III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

  • Performing migration health Pre Embarkation Check and Pre Departure Medical Screening of refugees in accordance with resettlement country’s Protocols for Immigrants and the IOM Migration Health Assessment Guidelines.
  • Medical case registration and management 
  • Medical treatment and follow up of identified beneficiaries on treatment
  • Provision of obtained Medical Data during PEC/PDMS to Senior National Migration Health Physician
  • Assist PEC/PDMS Team Leader Coordination with the local/national health authorities, physicians, hospitals and laboratories as needed.
  • Assist  PEC/PDMS Team Leader in preparation of  monthly and quarterly reports
  • Performing any other related duties that may be assigned by the direct supervisor.
  • Willingness to participate in H2 & H3 related medical activities.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by supervisor on certain occasions.


 

IV. Competencies

a)         Team worker, and ability to work in cultural sensitive environment.

b)         Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT

c)         Readiness to work in emergency program setting
