Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Beirut, and the direct supervision of the Emergency Response & Post Crisis Officer and in close coordination with the Shelter Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for:
Assist in assessment, design and development of IOM distribution programs in line with IOM agreements, policies and standards.
Represent IOM in distribution meetings pertaining to emergency and post crisis issues.
Liaise with UN, NGOs, local authorities and other counterparts to develop and undertake common initiatives in distribution programs.
Responsible for identifying problems in distribution project/programme implementation and propose solutions to the Emergency Response & Post Crisis Officer.
Assist in the development and preparation of assessment missions and activities in close coordination with the UN, NGOs and donors.
Coordinate with the IOM relevant colleagues on all procurement and distribution of materials relevant to program activities especially NFIs in both Beirut and IOM field offices.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
