COVID response Coordinator (North & Akkar)

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  1. Act as a focal point on all COVID-19 related activities in the area of concern
  2. Plan, supervise, manage and monitor the implementation of COVID-19 response activities in the area of concern
  3. Conduct trainings on COVID-19 related topics to IOCC staff, HOVs and other staff where necessary
  4. Contribute to planning effective work schedules to the teams and follow up on them
  5. Develop, update and follow up on staff’s reports
  6. Supervise the team at the area level, participate in the recruitment process of the team members, when applicable, and conduct regular staff meetings to ensure proper fulfillment of tasks.
  7. Assess, discuss and address challenges with the team and the Senior Health Officer
  8. Establish strong links and relationships with program stakeholders including UNHCR, MoPH, partner NGOs, beneficiaries, municipalities…
  9. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities according to applicable timeframes and formats
  10. Report back to the Senior Health Officer on a regular basis.
  11. Perform other duties as required or assigned

  • Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions
  • Proven capacity in management, leadership and teamwork
  • Proven capacity in writing reports
  • Proven capacity in training
  • Excellent communication skills and team building skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Willingness to use personal car and to frequently travel to the field and IOCC Office
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English

Experience:  

  • 2-3  years of work experience
  • Previous experience in NGO, and humanitarian field is an advantage
  • Previous experience in working with vulnerable populations is an advantage.

 

Working Conditions

  • Stationed in the field with frequent visits to IOCC  office
  • Candidate should have a car
