Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Early Childhood Development (ECD) officer will be responsible for facilitating and ensuring optimal implementation of the ECD component in all governorates. Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Responsible for the implementation, follow up and support of the ECD related activities at IOCC in all governorates.
- Provision of overall ECD technical guidance to the team.
- Coordinate with the team in all governorates to stay abreast of best practices related to integrated ECD services.
- Conduct field visits, team meetings and regular monitoring visits to the field to ensure the teams’ members adherence to work plans.
- Identify the gaps and the needs of capacity building in close collaboration with the project Coordinator.
- Provide trainings upon need.
- Represent IOCC at the relevant coordination meetings.
- Develop reports and tools needed for the implementation of the activities and ensure timely reporting of the activities to the Project Coordinator and the M&E department at IOCC.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and initiative taker.
- Good report writing skills.
- Dynamic personality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of work experience.
- Previous experience in IYCF programs.
- Previous experience in coordination and management.
- Experience working for an NGO preferred.
- Experience in child development or related field is a plus.
Working Conditions
Will be based at IOCC office in Beirut with visits to the field when needed.
