Food Safety Trainer

With funding from the World Food Programme (WFP), IOCC is intending to recruit a consultant trainer to work on updating pre-existing training materials and train quality control team who will be monitoring the preparation of cold sandwiches by volunteer parents in school kitchens. The aim is to feed students that attend the schools in the morning and afternoon shifts.

The consultant will work as well on training the volunteer parents assisting in the preparation of cold sandwiches in the school kitchens following the food safety standards.

The consultant will train the volunteer parents that will be preparing cold sandwiches in the school kitchens on food safety standards, organizational skills and time management.

 The schools are located in Baalbeck - El Hermel, Central Bekaa, West Bekaa, South, Donnieh, Akkar and Mount Lebanon

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assess the training needs of the kitchen teams and quality control officers
  • Update training strategies and kitchen Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) / food safety training manual based on the ISO 22000 standards
  • Conduct regional trainings and refresher trainings in the 18 schools for the volunteer parents and the quality control officers
  • Perform other duties when required

Requirements 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting food safety and personal hygiene trainings and offering relevant consultancies
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management system and food safety.
  • Proven capacity in management, leadership and teamwork
  • Excellent training skills
  • Excellent communication skills and team building skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
